Robb died.
Let me explain that.
During my entire teaching career, I had the true privilege of knowing and working with Robb Fagerlund. We worked in the same buildings for 30 years and since we lived in the same neighborhood we walked together to and from school for about 15 years in the late '80s and '90s. Walking to work started as a way to get there as cheaply as possible and gradually became an important part of each of our workdays.
Robb was the most caring, big-hearted person I have ever known. He gave a tremendous amount to everyone he met whether at work for the Red Wing School district, service in the Red Wing community, or at home with his family and friends. At the same time he was funny, truly funny. He could pull your leg with the best of them, then lay that big smile on you and make you feel good about it.
I will miss Robb, he is gone much too soon.
